shaped by both natural and human influences. She describes herself
as captivated by the effect our island weather has on the landscape
– skies varying from brilliant clear blue to leaden grey, monumental
cloud structures, burnt and weathered landforms, wind-sculptured trees,
distinctive and lush native vegetation, remnants of history in aged
and weathered buildings in varying stages of decay.

I find the process of capturing these elements totally absorbing
– sometimes frustrating and always challenging.
